(I added "to fall in love" since one can want to just have a crush on somebody/fall in love/experience romantic attraction but just be physically unable to. I just felt that "be in a romantic relationship" was a little too non-specific, since some may want to experience romance at all (without the relationship part).)

Cupioromantics have a desire to be in a romantic relationship, despite not feeling romantic attraction. Although many people associate strongly with the term, many people are against this term, saying it represents conformity with amatonormativity, the view that romantic relationships are more favorable than other types of relationships, such as a [[queerplatonic]] relationship. This identity was formerly (and briefly) known as kalosromantic.
