Cupioromantics have a desire to be in a romantic relationship, despite not not feeling romantic attraction. Although many people associate strongly with the term, many people are against this term, saying it represents conformity with amatonormativity, the view that romantic relationships are more favorable than other types of relationships, such as a queerplatonic relationship. This identity was formerly (and briefly) known as kalosromantic.
